- Transaction and Usage Data: We track which deals you claim, the businesses you visit, and your "Points" and "Stamps" balances to manage your loyalty profile.
- Device Information: We collect data about your device (model, OS, IP address) for security and app optimization.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Operate the app and ensure you can successfully claim deals.
- Award and track your loyalty "Points" and "Stamps."
- Personalize your feed (e.g., showing you vegan restaurants if you frequently claim vegan deals).
- Send you push notifications for time-sensitive or promo "Deals" nearby.
- Prevent fraud and protect both our users and Merchant partners.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do NOT sell your personal data to data brokers.
We only share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Merchants: When you claim a deal or redeem a reward at a specific business, we share minimal necessary information like your name and activities there (like points/stamps collected and the specific deal/rewards claimed) with that Merchant to verify the transaction and for them to develop loyalty programs.
- Our Strict Rules: We legally prohibit our Merchant Partners from selling, renting, or sharing your data with anyone else. They can only use it to give you the perks you've earned through the app.
- No Spam: Merchants can't use your DISCO information to contact you outside the app unless you clearly give them permission. For example, this could happen if you choose to sign up for a nightclub or promoter event guestlist.
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party cloud services (like AWS/Google Cloud and analytics tools) to operate our app and help us understand how it's used.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of DISCO, our users, or the public.
Guestlist & Event Entry (Nightclub/Promoter Merchants)
When you register for a guestlist or purchase entry to an event hosted by a Nightclub Merchant or event promoter, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Information Transfer: To facilitate your entry and provide confirmation, DISCO will share your name and email address with the specific Nightclub Merchant/Event Promoter.
- Merchant Marketing: By signing up for a guestlist, you are opting in to receive direct communications, including marketing and promotional updates, from that specific Merchant.
- Independent Data Control: Once your information is shared for guestlist purposes, that Merchant becomes an independent controller of that data. Their use of your email is governed by their own privacy practices.
- Voluntary Participation: Joining a guestlist is entirely voluntary. If you do not wish to share your email address with a Nightclub Merchant for marketing or confirmation purposes, please do not use the guestlist feature for that venue/promoter.
4. Your Choices and Rights
- Location Services: You can disable location tracking at any time in your phone's OS settings. Note: Disabling location will severely limit your ability to find nearby flash deals.
- Push Notifications: You can opt-out of marketing and deal alerts in your app settings.
- Email Notifications/Campaigns: You can opt-out of marketing and deal alerts in your app settings.
- Access & Correction: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to ask for corrections if it is inaccurate. To make a request, please contact us using the information provided below.
- Account Deletion: You can request to delete your account and associated data directly within the app settings or by emailing us. (Note: Deleting your account will permanently forfeit any accumulated "Points" and "Stamps").
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your data. However, no digital platform is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
